It was announced that Osaka Prefecture etc. will hold event project "Robo Marathon Full" that aims at full length marathon (42.195km) running the whole distance of the world first by the two-legged robot.
Five robots are scheduled to participate.
A basic game regulations are as follows.
1.The two-legged robot in which the hand, the foot, and the head are equipped is used.
2. It is 422 times as for the course of round 100m(The end is to be a goal by 95m).
3.The movement of the robot is to be autonomous operation by man by the wireless control or the robot unit.
4.The entire airframes are not exchanged though running is temporarily interrupted as maintenance of the airframe and the exchanges of the battery and the servo motor, etc. are possible.
5.The running time is measured including the maintenance time.
The holding period is from February 24th 10:00 up to 20:00 February 27 of 2011.
The image under the game (image of the down shot camera that can look about the entire hall and camera image of the robot body) is scheduled to be delivered in real time in USTREAM.
It is scheduled that they are made to autonomous run in electric vehicle "BeautoEV", and the image of a close robot is delivered.
